On Friday 18th July 2025, at the high-level IPP Session during the Invest-Zambia International Conference, Limbikani Lungu, Finance Manager at Northwestern Energy Corporation Ltd (NWEC), outlined ambitious opportunities for capital injection into Zambia’s energy infrastructure.
NWEC is seeking strategic investments in:
• Equity participation – USD 20 million

• New generation capacity – USD 50 million

These projects are designed to enhance energy access, grid reliability and private sector participation in Zambia’s power market.
