NWEC Launches new headquarters in Lusaka

Northwestern Energy Corporation Limited (NWEC has officially launched its new corporate headquarters in Longacres, Lusaka in partnership with Zanaco Bank.

On 27th September 2024 – Northwestern Energy Corporation Ltd (NWEC), Zambia’s first private electricity distributor, has officially launched its new corporate headquarters in Longacres, Lusaka.
The offices, located at Vantage Office Park, were unveiled by Zanaco Chief Executive Officer, Mukwandi Chibesakunda, during a grand opening ceremony attended by key stakeholders. The new facility was financed through NWEC’s longstanding partnership with Zanaco.
Speaking at the launch, NWEC Managing Director, Mr. Andrew Kamanga, emphasised the milestone as part of the company’s continuous growth strategy: “This office building project is an example of the long and productive partnership between NWEC and Zanaco. Zanaco has supported NWEC with finance to meet it’s short, medium and now long term capital needs having signed the financing agreement in November 2020 to cater for expansion and continued growth of electricity distribution and supply in the Northwestern part of the country.”
The ceremony marked a key milestone for NWEC to continue to support its growth strategy. The new headquarters will accommodate NWEC’s expanding teams and support the delivery of upcoming infrastructure projects across Zambia.
